Fun at the Farmington Pool!

For three years now I have worked at the Farmington Pool. And every year just gets better and better! I mean, how much more fun can it get then working at a pool. I get so many perks...free swimming being the main component! Thanks to the pool I have had three of the greatest summers of my life. I have worked with such fun people. And I am lucky enough to work with them each summer, because we are all so wonderful, we get hired back! I always amazes me all that my job entails- I will never get bored, let me tell ya! The job title 'Office Staff' does not necessarily seem to suffice all that I get to do. I manage front desk, handle money, cook food in concessions, clean, give first aid when needed, make cotton candy at the Recreation Office a few times a week, and this summer particularly- help teach swimming lessons. And of course in between all the working, we all manage to goof off and have fun. I think that too is one of my favorite things about the pool, the atmosphere. Because all of our employees are so amazing at their jobs, we have gained a bit of leniency within the bounds of getting to goof off a little bit and have fun while we work too! For instance, for the past three years, all of the office staff and I have been making a small family shaped out of cups and utensils from the concessions stand- and they are pretty stinkin' cute! So to put it simply, I have the greatest job! I work with such fun people, and I get to have fun while I am working as well! Getting paid to have fun is a pretty great perk!
